Robert Reid (1864-1929) is another portrait painter around the same time period. Reid was considered an impressionist painter of portraits. He was one of the founders of a school called “The Ten American Painter”, after rebelling against the National Academy of Design. Reid was commissioned to paint large murals for different buildings.
He is known for his impressionist portraits and other works.
