Amos Lee Armstrong was born in 1899 in Many, Louisiana. Mr. Armstrong attended Louisiana Polytechnical Institute. He also was active in Natchetoches Art Colony, and the Art Students League in New York. He served in both World Wars before settling in Shreveport in Louisiana until his death in 1969. Mr. Armstrong did several paintings of local scenery in the area.
 
The painting is an oil on board painting in very good condition. The painting measures 22 x 30, signed and Amos Lee Armstrong Artist Laureate of Shreveport.
